Let’s be honest here..

Okay, so as people know, everyone has a pet peeve. I just thought it would be interesting if I share some of mine just so people can know just a little bit more about me.

Besides being interrupted while on my laptop, there is absolutely one other thing that pisses me off on a good day.

Waking up the wrong way.

“How does that happen?” you may ask. Well I’ll tell you.

1. The Shocker

I’m peacefully sleeping and then suddenly someone barges in and goes off screaming his/her head off telling me to wake up for one reason or another that doesn’t even need me to be up (i.e. Asking where their magazine is/ if I ate the chocolate). It happens, seriously and I do not appreciate my adrenalin at it’s peak the moment I wake up. Everytime this happens to me I always end up experiencing a mild palpitation and that’s not a good way to start the day. AT ALL.

2. Happy Feet

A sure fire sign that I’m not ready to have kids yet. Definitely.

I do NOT appreciate having toddlers wake me up by putting their cute little feet or hands smack in my face. Nuff said.

3. The Tickler

Oh hell. NO. Absolutely NO. I like being tickled when I’m awake but as a way to actually wake me up? I don’t think so!

4. iTunez

Look, you may have a wonderful voice that I’d enjoy listening to on any other occasion but the moment I hear you belting out a tune within hearing range while I sleep and actually find myself fully waking up to it? You’re in big trouble.

5. The Cat Paw

Cuddling is a nice way to wake up, I’ll admit that but do take note that there’s a difference between cuddling and pawing someone awake. It’s an irritating way to wake up to. Imagine feeling those swipes against your skin and chances are when you wake up and you’re not in the mood and feel something brushing up against you in a not gentle way. It ticks you off.

Well I guess that’s it for today’s entry.

Until next time~

The Little Things

In the early stages of a relationship, it is understandable that a couple would always want to spend more time with one another as well as pampering their significant other to the point that their wallets are already complaining.

After a few months, the glamor wears off and everything seems to go through a huge roller coaster ride.

Problems come up, and dates become harder and harder to schedule. Soon your picture perfect partner is nothing but an ordinary guy/girl that you just happen to see everyday or a few times a week.

But once you get past that initial hard ships and “Reality Sinking In” phase, I assure you it just gets easier. It’s fun actually once you get past those insecurities and reality checks.

You start learning something new everyday about the person you’re with and soon, after being awed and flattered by the big things he/she usually does it becomes the little things that s/he does.

Holding your hand as you walk, nuzzling your cheek to show affection and sometimes even just sitting beside you and allowing you to lean your head on his/her shoulder is already enough to send your heart fluttering.

It’s the little things really…that keeps a relationship strong and stable. It’s something that I wish people would realize that instead of looking forward to the big and grand things, they learn to appreciate the small favors and gestures that their partners do.

And maybe…just maybe…a little more love would go around. Smile
